                 Sourdough Rolls

Ingredients:

Put in a bowl and let sit until nice and bubbly
1 cup sourdough starter
2 cups buttermilk
2 cups flour

How to Prepare:

When ready add 1 cup of flour you have mixed with 1 1/2 t. salt, 2 t. baking powder, 2 T. sugar and 1 t. baking soda. Put an additional 1 cup of flour on to your breadboard and dump your sourdough mixture on it. Gently mix the flour in. I like to use a pancake turner to do this. The dough should be soft but not sticky, so add more flour if needed. Pat dough out to the size of your 12inch lid and cut with a biscuit cutter. Roll each in 1/2 cup melted butter. Place in 12inch Dutch oven. Squeeze them in. Let raise 30 min. Bake 20 min. with 6-8 coals on the bottom and 22 on the top. The last time I made these, I needed them in a hurry so I added a T. of yeast to the first 3 ingredients.
