Sourdough Biscuits

                  Sourdough Biscuits

                                 sourdough starter -- 4 to 8 standing time
   1      cup                unsifted flour
   3/4   teaspoon        sugar
   1      Tablespoon    baking powder
   1/2    teaspoon       baking soda
   1/2    package        active dry yeast

Mix together 1/2 cup starter, 1 cup milk, and 1 cup unsifted flour let stand in a warm place for 4 to 8 hours.

Now add all the listed ingredients. Mix together and turn out onto floured board. Knead lightly. Roll out dough to about 3/4 inch thickness. Cut into biscuits and dip each in salad oil or warm bacon grease. I usually use butter or margarine, place in pan. Cover and let rise about 30 minutes. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 30 minutes.
