Link Sausage & Beans

 4     each         pork link sausages -- 4 to 6 per person
                        salt and pepper -- to taste
1      can           oven baked beans (16 oz. can serve about -- 6 to 8)

The size of Dutch oven you use will depend on how much you want to cook. If you only want to fix enough for 6 to 8, use 1 can of beans. A 10-inch oven will be big enough and 24 to 30 link sausages can feed them all. For more you can add more beans and sausages and go to a 12-inch or 14-inch oven.

When the fire is ready, brown your sausages on all sides. Drain off the excess grease, then pour in the beans. If too thick, add a little water or barbecue sauce, just so they will stir. Salt and pepper to taste. Put cover on and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. They will be worth the effort. You will have found a good use for link saysages besides breakfast.
