Chocolate Cherry Upside
Down Cake
1 large can cherry pie filling
water
1 box chocolate cake mix
2 each eggs
Foil line a #10 Dutch oven then grease it so the cake will not stick to the foil. Now spoon out the cherry pie filling into the bottom of the oven. In a separate bowl mix the chocolate cake batter according to the directions, on the box. Now pour the chocolate cake batter over the cherry pie filling. Bake at 350 degrees. For about 45 minutes.
Once the cake is done, tip the cake out of the Dutch oven onto a serving platter so the bottom of the cake becomes the top. Serve with whipped topping.
If you like mint you can add a 1 1/2 teaspoons of mint flavoring to your cake batter. This
Adds a very nice mint flavor to the cake.
