Apple Pecan Crisp

                  Apple Pecan Crisp

   8      cups               sliced apples
   1      Tablespoon    cinnamon
   6      Tablespoons   butter cut into Pats
Topping:
   2      cups              flour
   2      cups              brown sugar
   1/2   teaspoon       baking powder
   3/4   cup               butter
   2      cups             oatmeal
   1/2   teaspoon      baking soda
   1/2   teaspoon      salt
   2      cups             whole pecans

Sauce:
Mix apples, sugar and cinnamon together and place in bottom of 12" Dutch oven. Spread pats of butter on top.

Topping
Mix together thoroughly and spread over apple mixture. Put 6-8 coals on bottom and 14 - 16 on top. Bake for 45 - 50 minutes. Serve hot with a side of ice cream.
